[ARCHIVED] Southeast Wisconsin Boot Camp Training Programs Accepting Applications

In partnership with the Southeast Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, Gateway Technical College is offering short-term training programs that equip local residents with the skills and credentials to secure in-demand jobs as Computer Numerical Control Machine Operators and Telecommunications Cable Installers.

The no-cost boot camps consist of 12 to 14 weeks of hands-on training offered 5 days per week at Gateway’s cutting edge SC Johnson integrated Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Center. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion, college credits, job placement assistance and preparation for careers in manufacturing or telecommunications with wages ranging from an entry level rate of $12.00 per hour to an experienced rate of $20.00 per hour or more.

The Boot Camps are made possible through the generous support of Gateway Technical College and SC Johnson. “Boot camp training programs are fast-track educational options for building skills for competitive jobs and wages” said Mark Mundl, Racine County Manager of Workforce Solutions and Southeast Wisconsin Workforce Development Board member.
