[ARCHIVED] New Functionality Added to Kenosha County Interactive Mapping Website

The following new functionality has been added to the Kenosha County Interactive Mapping site.

  • New Menu Tab -- The 'Advanced Tools' tab has been added to the menu on the left side of the application. Click on 'Advanced Tools' to explore the new features detailed below.
  • Display Surveys -- Users are now able to view, download and/or print, at no charge, many of the 44,000 property surveys that have been filed within the Kenosha County Land Information Office. To find surveys, select the Advanced Tools tab on the left, then choose Display Surveys, then click on a property to see if a survey exists. More advanced search capabilities can be performed in the Survey Image Search application.
  • Display Septic Systems -- This tool is also located in the 'Advanced Tools' tab. It allows for the display of any active septic systems that are installed on a selected parcel. To use it, you will need to zoom into a parcel you want to check. Click on the 'Advanced Tools' tab, and then on the 'Display Septic Systems' button. At this point, you can click on any property and a list of associated septic systems will be displayed. This search is tied to the Sanitary Maintenance Portal. A search will link you to the found system on that application. Alternately, you can perform advanced searches directly from the portal.
  • Display Street View -- This tool, again located in the 'Advanced Tools' tab ties Interactive Mapping with Google Street View. To use this tool, click on the 'Advanced Tools' tab and then on the 'Display Street View' button. Once activated, you can click any location on the map to view the nearest street view image to your selected point. Please keep in mind that if click on a point too distant from a road, Google will not have related imagery. The Street View image will be displayed in its own popup window (have popup blocking disabled).
