[ARCHIVED] Seeking nominations for the Connie Reyes Award for Excellence in Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention

April is National Child Abuse Prevention month, and it marks Kenosha County’s Third Annual Connie Reyes Award for Excellence in Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention. We are asking for your help in nominating an individual who you believe has worked diligently and compassionately to improve the lives of children and families in our community.

As many of you know, Connie Reyes was a Kenosha County employee who worked in the Division of Children and Family Services. On April 12, 1990, she tragically lost her life while serving the children and families in our community. This award honors her, and recognizes individuals today who continue to keep her memory alive through diligently working to protect children from abuse and neglect and strengthen families.

I encourage you to take the time to nominate an individual who has contributed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in Kenosha County. Details for nominating an individual can be found on the attached Connie Reyes Award Nomination Form, and/or you can contact Ms. Kim Emery at (262) 605-6519 or Kim.Emery@kenoshacounty.org. Kenosha County will be hosting an awards ceremony event on April 18, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at the Kenosha County Job Center in order to recognize the selected individual.

Nominations must be submitted no later than April 7, 2017.
