[ARCHIVED] Highway H, Bain Station Road intersection closure scheduled to begin Tuesday

The intersection of Highway H (88th Avenue) and Bain Station Road in Pleasant Prairie is scheduled to close at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, as work begins on a roundabout reconstruction project.

Phase 1 of the Kenosha County project, to continue through mid-to-late-August, includes pavement removal, public and private utility relocations and tree removal. Completion of the entire project is expected late this fall.

The intersection will be closed to through traffic through the duration of the project. Travelers are encouraged to detour around the affected area via Highway 50 (75th Street), Highway 31 (Green Bay Road) and Highway 165 (104th Street).

In addition to the installation of a roundabout at what is presently a 4-way stop, the project includes construction of curb and gutter, installation of storm sewers and street lighting, and the addition of concrete sidewalks and bicycle ramps.

Project work is weather-dependent and subject to change. A project overview, including a detour map, is available at http://www.kenoshacounty.org/DocumentCenter/View/6922.
