The Kenosha Unified School District, in conjunction with the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department and other local law enforcement agencies, is hosting three public meetings on the district’s approach to school safety and security.
Known as ALICE – Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate – the program encourages the use of common sense in critical situations. Training for students, teachers and school staff has been ongoing.
Public information sessions on the program will be held at 6 p.m. on the following dates:
- Wednesday, March 14 at the Kenosha Unified Educational Support Center, 3600 52nd St.
- Monday, March 19 at Tremper High School, 8560 26th Ave.
- Wednesday, March 28 at Reuther Central High School, 913 57th St.
The presentation will be made available with Spanish closed captioning and shared on KUSD’s social media platforms by March 23.
