[ARCHIVED] Kenosha County highways A and H to close temporarily for Foxconn related paving work

Portions of Highway A (Seventh Street) and Highway H (88th Avenue) are being resurfaced to accommodate the anticipated increase of construction traffic. These roads will serve as the truck routes to the Foxconn property in Mount Pleasant when construction begins there later this spring.  Beginning this Friday, April 6, and continuing until May 4, Highway A is scheduled to be closed between Interstate 94 and Highway H. Work to be completed during that time includes asphalt milling, culvert replacements and asphalt paving.
Highway H is scheduled to be closed between highways A and KR (First Street) from this Friday, April 6, until Monday, April 9, to accommodate culvert replacement and asphalt paving work.
Nightly closures of Highway H between Highway A in Kenosha County and Highway 11 in Racine County will continue from Saturday, April 7 to June 1, with the exception of Sunday nights. These closures will facilitate asphalt milling and paving work.
During the Highway H closures, drivers are urged to detour around the affected area via Highway A (which will remain open east of Highway H), Highway EA (72nd Avenue) and Highway KR.  Drivers are urged to detour around the Highway A construction area using Highway EA, Highway KR and the I-94 East Frontage Road.
Note: Scheduled closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
The enhancements to highways A and H are being managed and funded by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, as part of the regional road improvements being made in conjunction with the Foxconn project.
