[ARCHIVED] County executive to present fourth annual Connie Reyes Award

Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser invites the public to an event to recognize those who work to prevent child abuse and neglect.

The event will be held at 4 p.m. this Wednesday, April 18, in the Commons Area of the Kenosha County Human Services Building, 8600 Sheridan Road, Kenosha.

Kreuser will present a plaque to the fourth recipient of the Connie Reyes Award for Excellence in Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention.

The award was created to honor Reyes, a Kenosha County employee who worked with the Division of Children and Family Services. Reyes was murdered on April 12, 1990, as a result of her work serving the children and families of Kenosha County.

“We honor Connie and her life, which was dedicated to helping children and their families, by honoring all of the dedicated individuals and organizations that do this important work every day to make families and our community stronger,” Kreuser said.

For more information about the event, please contact the County Executive’s Office at 262-653-2600.
