John Franco


John Franco was elected to represent the 13th District on the Kenosha County Board in 2016. He has served on the Legislative and Public Works committees and is a current member of the Judiciary & Law and Planning, Development & Extension Education committees.

Franco holds master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Philosophy and since 1991 has worked in education as a college instructor and high school social studies teacher. He has taught multiple high school subjects, including A.P. Government, U.S. History, Western Civilization, Philosophy and general Social Science and Humanities courses. He has also led his A.P. Government classes in state congressional hearings and has sponsored student-led congressional forums. Franco was also a teaching fellow at the Center for the Study of the Constitution at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Franco has served as the president of the Horizons Homeowners Association for more than a decade. He is a longtime member of the Palette, Masque & Lyre Community Theater and is an enthusiastic supporter of local organizations including Congregations United to Serve Humanity, the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra, the Shalom Center and the Sharing Center. He has also been a strong advocate for voting rights, serving as a special registration deputy.

Franco is married to his wife, Jennifer, and has one son.
