Laura Belsky was appointed to fill the vacant 4th District seat on the County Board in September 2019, and was subsequently elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2022.
A retired information technology executive, she has a background of strong leadership in setting strategic direction for large and disparate teams of IT professionals, management of multimillion-dollar budgets, and a proven track record of teambuilding while maximizing efficiencies for staffing through quality management processes.
Belsky is the current Treasurer and a founding member of the Board of Directors of the nonprofit Kenosha Public Market. The mother of two adult sons and the grandmother of two, Belsky lives on Kenosha’s north side with her husband, Gregg, a retired firefighter.
During the 2022-’24 board term, Belsky serves on the board's Judiciary & Law and Public Works and Facilities committees.
