A public involvement meeting on this year's Kenosha County Highway K expansion work will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Indian Trail High School and Academy, 6800 60th St., Kenosha.
The purpose of this meeting is to present the proposed improvements and answer project-related questions. This is an opportunity for the public to learn about construction staging, traffic operations and access during construction.
The meeting will be held in an open-house format; people are welcome to attend any time between 4 and 6 p.m.
This year's Highway K (60th Street) work includes reconstruction and expansion of the roadway between 94th Court and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks just west of Indian Trail. The roadway will be expanded to four lanes, with the installation of curb and gutter and an off-street, multiuse trail just north of the road.
