Learn the basics of Medicare coverage, options for private health and drug coverage, and public benefits that can help with health care costs. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. LIMITED SEATING.

  2. Living Safely with Dementia: A workshop for family caregivers

    Safety is a concern for everyone, but the need for a safety plan is even more important in the case of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. Dementia brings a greater risk of falls, wandering, injuries, behavior challenges and medication mistakes. Learn more about dementia and techniques to reduce behavior and environmental risks. Offered by the Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center. Presented by Lisa Koenen, Volunteer Guardian Program Coordinator and Brian Bynsdorp, Adult Protective Services Social Worker Light refreshments served. A File for Life, Medicine Lock Box and Dementia Resource Directory will be available free for all participants.

  3. Medicare Part D Open Enrollment Training

    November 27, 2017, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Kenosha County Human Services Building

    Make sure you have the right Part D Plan! Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center sponsors training on Medicare Prescription Coverage during Open Enrollment. Small group sessions are facilitated in a classroom setting with computers and the support of Benefit Specialists. A brief presentation will guide participants step-by-step through the Medicare.gov Part D plan finder tool. The Benefit Specialists will answer questions and help compare individual plans for 2018. You may enroll in a new plan online or print your plan choices and decide later. You will need your current list of medications and Medicare card. The training is scheduled for two hours, but you may leave when you are finished.
