[ARCHIVED] Willowbrook Assisted Living announces hiring of new manager

Amber Mucklin, Willowbrook Manager

Kenosha County’s Willowbrook Assisted Living has a new manager on board, Administrator Lynda Bogdala announced today.

Amber Mucklin comes to Willowbrook from her previous role as Business Office Manager at The Sheridan at Green Oaks, an assisted living community in Lake Bluff, Ill. She has roughly 13 years of experience working in the senior care housing industry.

As Willowbrook manager, Mucklin is overseeing the operations, admissions and care of residents. Willowbrook, 3508 Washington Road, is an assisted living community with 24 private rooms located adjacent to the county’s skilled nursing facility, Brookside Care Center.

Mucklin said she is excited to have the opportunity to further her career at a facility close to her home in Kenosha.

“It really just feels like a sense of a second home,” Mucklin said, of working in assisted living. “I have the privilege of serving our residents in their home, and it’s an honor work with them.”

Mucklin began working in the position on Jan. 22. She succeeds former Willowbrook Manager Olivia Livingston, who resigned in December to pursue another career opportunity.

Bogdala said Mucklin has adapted to her new role quickly.

“Amber brings a great deal of experience in assisted living and has already established herself as an asset to the Willowbrook community,” Bogdala said. “Under her leadership, I am confident Willowbrook will remain the chosen destination for assisted living in Kenosha County.”
