You’re there for them, we’re here for you! Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six-week, workshop, is a self-care education program for family caregivers. PTC provides self-care tools and strategies to better handle the unique challenges caregivers face. Subjects include reducing personal stress, changing negative self-talk, communicating effectively in challenging situations, recognizing emotions and difficult feelings, and making tough caregiving decisions. You'll need a computer, iPad or tablet, as well as internet access. Class runs Wednesdays, March 13-April 17, 2024. Deadline to register is Friday, March 8.
Join the virtual Caregiver Coffee Club, a support group to help family caregivers who care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia. Join others engaged in helping their loved ones manage day to day living. Relax, chat and learn helpful tips and strategies. The Caregiver Coffee Club meets the first Wednesday of each month from 10-11 a.m. The support group is available in-person or virtually. Facilitated by the Kenosha County ADRC Dementia Care Specialist.
