Inmate Visitation - Regulations

Regulations

  • There is no on-site visitation on the following days: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve.
  • One (1) adult and one (1) minor per scheduled on-site video visitation for an inmate. Parents or guardians must accompany the minor.
  • Every adult must have a valid ID.
  • The person visiting must be at least 18 years of age unless:
    • He/she is the spouse of the inmate and able to provide proper identification along with proof of the marriage
    • He/she is the child of the inmate and accompanied by and under the direct supervision of the other parent or legal guardian
  • No food or drink is allowed in the visiting area.
  • The ONLY electronic device allowed during the visit is the device being used to complete the visit.
  • Visitors are responsible for their children and their children’s behavior.
  • Proper dress is required and will be determined by the Sheriff’s Department personnel. Any inappropriate dress will result in the termination of the visit.
  • All visitors are subject to search.
  • Operating a motor vehicle during visitation is prohibited.

Consequences

  • All inappropriate behavior, such as exposure of the breast or genitalia by either the visitor(s) or inmate, is cause for the termination of the visit and the following loss of privileges:
    • A three (3) month suspension of visitations for the visitor. (A subsequent violation results in an indefinite revocation of visitations.)
    • The involved inmate is restricted from visits for a two (2) week period per incident.
