[ARCHIVED] Two-vehicle, head-on crash under investigation in Bristol

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a two-vehicle head-on collision in the 8000 block of US 45 (200th Avenue) in the Village of Bristol that resulted in serious injuries. This collision has currently closed traffic on US 45.

At approximately 4:27 P.M. the Kenosha County Sheriff Department responded to a report of a head-on collision in the 8000 block of US 45. During the preliminary investigation, a Nissan sedan was southbound on US 45 and was struck head-on by a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling northbound on US 45. 

The Nissan’s driver was injured as a result of the crash and transported to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for treatment of these injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck also suffered from injuries due to the crash and was transported to Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital for treatment. 

The highway remains closed to traffic and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes of travel including Highway 50, Highway D, Highway AH, and 216th Avenue. The cause of the crash remains under investigation currently.
