On Sunday, April 18th, 2021, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department deputies and detectives responded to the Somers House Tavern (1548-Sheridan Road) for reports of a shooting that occurred early this morning at about 12:42 A.M.  The shooting resulted in three fatalities.  Two other gunshot victims were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.

The suspect has not been located at this time.  The suspect is described as a black male over six feet tall wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt.  This appears to be a targeted and isolated incident.  We do not believe there is a threat to the community at this time.  The names, ages, and cities of residence for the victims are still being determined.

Sheridan Road is closed near the scene.  We ask that this area be avoided so the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department can continue a proper investigation.

The shooting investigation is active and ongoing.  Kenosha Sheriff’s Department needs to rely on the public’s assistance and cooperation when investigating crimes. We ask that anyone with information regarding this incident contact the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department at (262) 605-5100 or anonymously to the Kenosha County Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.

Sheriff David Beth will be holding a press conference later today.  Details of the time and location will be released.

Update:  April 18th, 2021, 6:05 a.m.:

Sheriff Beth will be conducting a press conference at the Carthage College Smeds Tennis Center (2001-Alford Park Drive) at 7:00 A.M.
