[ARCHIVED] Long-term closure on Highway K to begin week of May 9

A long-term closure of Kenosha County Highway K (60th Street) between 94th Court and the Union Pacific Railroad crossing west of Indian Trail High School and Academy is set to begin during the week of May 9, continuing through fall.

The closure is to accommodate the expansion of the roadway in that area into a four-lane, undivided highway.

Highway H (88th Avenue) will remain open to north-south traffic while Highway K is closed on both sides of it.

Access to residences and businesses in the area will be maintained.

Drivers are urged to detour around the closure via 104th Avenue, Highway 158 (52nd Street) and Highway 31 (Green Bay Road).

A project brief, including a map of the project area, is available here.
