Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman today released the following statement regarding the State of the State address that Gov. Tony Evers delivered to the Wisconsin Legislature Tuesday evening:
“I appreciate Gov. Evers’ apparent desire to work toward common ground on funding essential local government services. I look forward to learning more about what the governor is proposing, and I urge the governor and the Legislature to find a solution workable for everyone involved.
“I was also encouraged to hear that the governor is making mental health a priority in 2023. Kenosha County is working actively on this multifaceted issue, so it’s promising to hear of the potential for additional resources and partnerships in the future.”
