Purpose-Built Mountain Bike Trails
Purpose-built mountain bike trails are constructed and maintained with the support of the Kenosha Area Mountain Bike Association . Purpose-built mountain bike trails are also commonly referred to single-track trails to allow for one-way directional (some two-way “connectors”) 18-36 inch wide compacted soil trails, some with technical trail features, and are intentionally designed and optimized for mountain biking. Trails have a variety of difficulty levels from Easy (green circle) to More Difficult (blue square) and Most Difficult (black diamond) to allow for multiple skill levels of riders’ experiences and comfort. Purpose-built mountain bike trails are marked at main trailheads, trail entrances, trail exits, and intersections to inform users of the trail difficulty level and directionality.
