Kenosha County Executive Jim Kreuser invites bike riders of all ability levels to participate in the Ninth Annual Fall Wheel Ride to Petrifying Springs Park from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 29.
“It is a great time of the year to get out and view the sights of Kenosha County from the seat of a bicycle,” Kreuser said.
Riders are encouraged to select one of two starting points:
- 9 a.m. at Kennedy Park, 44th Street and Kennedy Drive – 6.3 miles (one way) to Petrifying Springs
- 9:30 a.m. at Bose Elementary School, 1900 15th St. – 2.5 miles (one way) to Petrifying Springs
Marked routes will take riders to the Petrifying Springs Biergarten, utilizing segments of Kenosha County’s multiuse trail system for much of the way.
Food and non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided for riders by the Kenosha County Division of Parks in collaboration with the Petrifying Springs Biergarten. There will also be bike activities at the pavilion.
