A public information meeting on an upcoming resurfacing of a portion of Kenosha County Highway E in Somers will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Somers Village/Town Hall, 7511 12th St.
The work, to be conducted from April through June 2024, includes the resurfacing of roughly 1.4 miles of Highway E (12th Street) between Highway G (30th Avenue) and Highway 32 (Sheridan Road). Deteriorated culverts and damaged or aging beam guard will also be replaced, along with curbs in spot areas where required.
Highway E will remain open to through traffic during the majority of the project, with flagging operations in place as needed. A full closure for up to two weeks may be required to complete culvert work.
The March 27 meeting will include handouts and exhibits, and project staff will be available to answer questions.
