Resurfacing and other improvements to portions of Kenosha County highways E and Y in the City of Kenosha and the Town and Village of Somers will be the subject of a public information meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16.
This work, to be conducted in the spring and summer of 2024, includes resurfacing of Highway E (12th Street) between Highway G (30th Avenue) and Highway 32 (Sheridan Road), as well as Highway Y (22nd Avenue) between 14th Place and Highway E.
Deteriorated culverts, beam guard and curbs will also be replaced in spot locations as needed.
Highways E and Y will remain open to through traffic during the majority of the project, with flagging operations as needed.
The public information meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Somers Town/Village Hall, 7511 12th St. It will be held in an open-house format, with a brief presentation to take place from 5:15 to 5:30.
