County to conduct tree-trimming operations on Highway Q

Graphic with text: "Tree trimming advisory"

Beginning this month, Kenosha County will be trimming trees and shaping the foliage along Highway Q (104th Street/Winfield Road) in the Village of Bristol.

This work is a precursor to a resurfacing project that will occur in summer 2024.

The trimming will occur in the area between Highway U (136th Avenue) and Highway 45 (Bristol Road), beginning Jan. 24 and continuing through February. While trimming is occurring, the roadway will remain open to traffic for local access needs.

Tree trimming will be minimal and is not anticipated to affect the health of the trees. Trimming will enhance evaporation and drainage, which will aid in expanding the lifespan of the new pavement.

A notice including a map of the work area is available here.
