[ARCHIVED] Highways D, L to close short term for repairs

Two sections of Kenosha County highways will be closed for repairs during the week of Jan. 14.

Highway D (176th Avenue) is scheduled to be closed Monday between highways K (60th Street) and N (38th Street) in the Town of Paris for an emergency culvert replacement. This work by the Kenosha County Division of Highways will be conducted weather permitting and is subject to change. Drivers are encouraged to detour around the affected area via highways N, 45 and K.

On Tuesday, the Union Pacific Railroad is scheduled to close Highway L (18th Street) between highways EA (72nd Avenue) and 31 (Green Bay Road) in the Village of Somers for crossing repairs. This work is expected to occur between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The posted detour route will route drivers around the area via highways EA, E and 31.
